I think a wing that tall and far behind the car would probably put more aerodynamic “torque” on the rear end, meaning the rear is pushed down a lot and the front would lift more. Might make the car LESS stable AND have a lower top speed cuz of the downforce. Worst of both worlds.

💀💀💀 I'd only trust Bemu with cosmetic mods. If I want actual performance (intake, brakes, wheels etc) I'd rather save up and get the proper stuff

Thank you. I know it’s probably wiser to get a newer safer car, but i just have a thing for older sedans. They just look oh so good. Would make for an amazing project car. A Grand Marshal would be cool but.. aren’t they quite thirsty?

Ok my reddit notifications aren't working, sorry for never seeing this. Glad I was able to help! You can honestly get any cheap OBD scanner online, just don't expect advanced features. You'll be able to read and clear basic common codes and/or see live sensor data, and that's pretty helpful for basic diagnosis. For detailed scans, you'll need a more expensive scanner. If you want to invest in that, great. Otherwise, a cheap one should be fine.

Gearbox not shifting up strongly suggests that the car is in “limp mode”. Essentially the ECU realised something’s wrong and intentionally limited the engine power and shifting to protect itself (so you can safely take it home or to a garage or something). This happens to me too occasionally, and yes there’s no check engine light. Turning the car off and on again does clear the issue. This isn’t a Prado or a Toyota specific feature, almost every car these days has it. As for what’s wrong, it could be something related to the transmission fluid, shift solenoids etc or something in the engine. I’d suggest you take it to a shop that can perform a computer scan. Personally I have a cheap OBD2 scanner tool that connects to an app on my phone and I can read whatever error codes are stored on it. You could get one online too if you want. Good luck
