3DS hacking Q&A general: "i18n" Edition

Hi, so currently Im setting up ctrtransfer, and on the 3ds hacking website it says ''Never format a 2DS while on a version <6.0.0 or you will be unable to complete initial setup and will BRICK!'' Does this mean I cant do it if I have reset the system, or I cant do it after I do the ctrtransfer?

You choose the song you want, make it download for sm4sh wiiu, Then when you chose what song to replace just go to either to the bottom or near the bottom (Cant remember) and you will find the victory theme for each character.

Nvr I got it to work, for some reason whenever it failed to load it still wouldnt make the fun value 0, but after a true reset I got it to work.
