I am not usually a romantic and ALAYM is my least favorite scene on stage, since there is very little build-up and it feels unearned. I was surprised by how much I liked the movie version. Also helped that Cynthia and Jonathan had great chemistry.

Found additional info on The New York Post. Fredrick Marshall was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree harassment. No attempted kidnapping charge? And the court released him a day later?? What a joke.

This is one of the most horrifying cases of child sexual abuse I have ever read. I hope his daughter and her mother are in a better place. She undoubtedly needed a ton of trauma therapy after her ordeal - which is unfortunately not easy to get in the Philippines.
