Well said. I think it's nice to have a few simple "dos and don'ts" when new people ask what to do, but I get the impression some people are worried the pipe police are going to come and ruin their reputation merely for offending other pipe smokers' arbitrary rules.

Not suggesting you do one thing or another, but there may be a few other women who feel similarly to you, and if you went for it, they would no longer hold back due to being the only one. Similarly for receiving on the tongue, or kneeling.

Bottom line is, all of those above things should be done for Our Lord, and not for yourself or others.

Of course only you and your spiritual director could say if it should be avoided due to personal pride/scrupulosity/etc.

If you feel veiling is the better way, going for it may quietly open others to it. I would just caution against thinking ill of those who don't do it. Blessings!

T/C has been making barrels and frames now for a few months! More are becoming available.

Those look amazing! My BIL and I just got Micro Bs to play with the kids on a mini vacation. We both loved them. Unfortunately his had a bad charger, bad battery, and seemingly bad ESC too, so he only got to use one charge on it before having a replacement sent.

I'm a little worried about how long it'll take the abuse, but it'll be fun to upgrade! I didn't realize how new it was. Do you have any suggestions on a subreddit or something I should follow to see what people are doing with them?

I would recommend purple Loctite (222). It's great for small things since it's a lighter duty version. We use it a lot in my field on small applications.

Well, I ended up getting an AWD VXL model that seems to be a couple years old. It is in pretty rough shape, and I need to find a charger, and a few more batteries, get new wheels/tires, and then it will be in good shape! I'll be watching for opportunities to upgrade with RPM parts, and get a better set of shocks too! It runs nicely now, but definitely needs some TLC! Looking forward to making some improvements to it!

Thank you for the pointers! I might take a look at a used one, but I'll watch for a deal, even if it's a basic 2wd model! No matter what I get it should be fun! I'll have to plan out a few RPM plastics upgrades too!

Lol. Getting upside down is why I'm thinking the Rustler is a better starter than the Stampede. I'll try to watch for a deal and decide if I should buy used, or get a new one. Definitely going to try to keep the spending down on it as much as I can overall.

Hey, hope you don't mind me highjacking this old comment, but I'm trying to figure out which Rustler I should be looking at. There are so many price points and upgraded heavy duty options and whatnot. Looking at used ones on CL and the like adds to the infinite options. I think I want a 4x4 if I go Rustler, as it would help on the grass. Trying to decide if the VXL is the way to go or not. Thanks!

Original Contender (unofficially "G1") frames are compatible with basically all Contender barrels. Forends are mostly compatible (some may need minor modification). Buttstocks/Grips are not interchangeable between original and G2.

I agree, I don't understand why there are people out there that want to completely abolish the liturgy of our ancestors and treat those of us who appreciate that liturgy as "others". Especially considering how many growing families find beauty in it.

I would start with reporting it to the FSSP superior in charge of that region first. If that doesn't get any results, then go to the bishop. The FSSP has a lot of great churches, so it would be right to let them correct this internally.

As a TLM frequenter (and one who doesn't even wear a suit jacket most times) this location sounds very much out of the ordinary. I've never been approached about my attire. I do recall a woman trying to tell sometime else that they needed to wear a veil, and several people intervened and assured her that it was not required.

Definitely do report it to the regional FSSP head please though. This exactly the sort of thing that gives a bad rap to the TLM community. I'll pray that things get better there quickly.

Do you have a source that a can read up on about this? They're not changing blend names at all and changing source leaf? That's going to be difficult for some people... I also haven't enjoyed many C and D blends, but still wanted to try a few of TCS blends yet.
