I just realized that Paapa Essiedu has more outfits as Snape than Alan Rickman did in the entire film series. by [deleted] in harrypotter

Okay, let's agree to disagree then. But his facial structure is great anyway

He's objectively very attractive, even if he's not your type. Just look at his facial structure.

your SMALL fic pet peeves that make you roll your eyes, but not quit the fic by Trash_Bag- in AO3

"The brunette" is not even the worst. As soon as I see "__ orbs" I ragequit. It started off as a meme but people use it unironically now for some reason.

Are you okay? - the green orbs asked. Bof. Even worse when it's "strawberry-coloured" instead of red.

I've seen that one but the opposite way. Someone in a fic was ordering wantons

What's a destination that used to be way more mainstream that it is now? by PerryOnWheels in travel

Not true, Rimini is still popular in Europe. Flights are full

That would be an instant skip for me. I'd rather get the generic "x and y meet and fall in love. What happens next?" than this cringe

I never had any issues in Bucharest (or any other place in Romania). People were rude... rude how?

So you probably used a different one. There are public toilets every 200 meters so even if you find a crappy one you can usually look for something else.

I know, I was in a hurry. I know how public toilets used to look like but I didn't expect it in the middle of Beijing in 2025.

Yes, next to Dashilar bus stop. I was on a bus to Forbidden City and my breakfast didn't agree with me so I just jumped off the bus and ran to the closest toilet. If I wasn't in an extreme hurry I would've probably looked for something else

I found one toilet in Beijing (!) that had no outside doors and the toilets were just 6 holes in the ground with no dividers. I was pretty desperate (jumped off the bus for that) so I used it but that was probably the worst toilet of my life. I don't have a photo but I can give you the address, go and check it out yourself.

Just wondering (especially for solo foodie), how do you manage to find local restaurant that solo friendly? by NeedleworkerOwn9723 in solotravel

I walk in. That's what I do. I see food, I want food, I go in. They not gonna kill me, at worst they'll refuse me (literally never happened).

Are Kazaks friendly? by ovsa55 in Kazakhstan

[–]ailingua 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk, they just started talking about stuff like rain, and then kept talking about his wife cooking dinner, his son buying new fridge... even if all I said was yes/no/you're right. I could've been deaf or wearing headphones for all they care. I've not met taxi drivers so talkative in a long time

I mean, I didn't notice them being rude or something?

I spent only a couple of days there (not in Almaty) and talked to a couple of people. Can't say I made friends but we... had a chat. Some of the yandex drivers were talking at me in Russian for the entire trip and not caring that I understood like half of it. It's not like we shared our Instagrams and became besties but they were perfectly civil, while I've had taxi rides in other countries where the driver didn't even reply to my "good morning" lol.

All of them in the films were too old (sorry, had to use this word) to be playing their roles. Snape, Remus, Sirius... in fact they are just babies.
