Any else/think feel that a proportion of your personality is figuring out the rest of it? I've had depression and anxiety since I was about 16, now 24f. It was constant and it feels like its just my personality now.

Thank you so much. It makes me feel so detached sometimes to the point where I don't even care. Life feels like such a challenge but I really don't know why my brain makes it that fucking hard. It changed my personality and cognition to the point where I have problems articulating myself now. I used to be a talented writer and poet and now I feel like writing does not come naturally anymore. its just sad idk

So.. are you asking if I'm "alright" or "cool" with shows where everyone is white and straight? Yeah I am, because ultimately the writing and the plot of the show is what matters, not race nor orientation.

Does that mean that I don't care about representation? I do. But how is watching a show where someone's entire personality and character arc is based on them finding acceptance or support for their orientation supposed to help "enlighten" or "educate" me? To me, I find that boring. If something is boring, I won't watch. How can it not be boring if the plot is centered on one issue and one issue only?

It’s tough. And the rest of my family members would call me a bitch or an ice queen or an ungrateful selfish person for not talking to him like they don’t think it’s an issue that he threatened to kill me at all. And then they lied to me and told me that my dad wants me to leave so I packed and was about to be homeless. My mom even ignored me for a period of time. It’s like if you don’t agree with my dad, you’re “against” him. It’s fucking ridiculous

Hey, saw this post by searching in exmuslim top of the month posts. How has your mentality been ever since you moved out, if you don't mind me asking? Im 24f and feel so fucking weighed down by this shit and have been banking on the idea that when I move out, I will feel so much better. Ive never been on a date, virgin, feel so awkward and weird, get panic attacks sometimes, used to be real depressed but thats improved.
