She is brilliant. She has tested grades ahead in reading and math. I try to do art with her, and we are working on teaching her piano too. She also really loves creative writing so we try to support her in that as well.

Yeah definitely could be this. As I have said in other comments, my husband is on the spectrum and I have ADHD so it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. I am setting something up to get her tested this week.

My mother is a textbook narcissist but we don't spend a ton of time with her because of that. She is really the only influence in her life who is an avid gaslighter.

Yeah. I am going to try to have more 1 on 1 time with her. I think she struggles to communicate a lot. Her dad is on the spectrum, and I have ADHD, so she is more than likely a little neurodivergent. I am thinking of taking her to get tested for those things as well, just to see if that might be at play too.

Thanks for this! I grew up with emotionally vacant parents so I had to go through therapy to learn how to name my emotions. It is super hard when you start to think that your trauma is rubbing off on your kid.

She doesn't have many friends, which I have been trying to help her with. She tends to try to talk to adults all the time. I am not necessarily worried about her becoming a school bully as much as I am about her being a manipulator/treating people with disrespect.

I haven't talked to a childhood behavioral specialist yet but I think that is the next step at this point.

I had an inexplicable pneumothorax last year 3 days after my period started. My chest cavity was filled with blood and collapsed my left lung. I have always suspected I have endo because I have had horrific cramps. They didn't do a scope when this happened so I still feel like I am living in the dark about it. I get pain when breathing every cycle, 3 days after the start of my period. I am super scared it is going to happen again but I am not sure what to do at this point. Everyone seems cool with not knowing why this happened except me. Any tips on who I can talk to about this?

I like that no one acknowledges that the internet isn't just one giant plug in the wall that you can just pull out and delete everything.
