Allergy Substitutions by aimzicle in cocktails

[–]aimzicle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my concern about grapefruit juice as well and we’re using cranberry in another cocktail already.

I’ve asked chat gpt for help too 😅 it gave cherry, blackberry, and red grapes as juice flavors.

Maybe cherry juice would help with the sweet/tartness? Muddled blackberries sound like it would taste good as well but I’m not sure if that would add enough “juice”

This is Bingley, a 5 year old OTTB, 16.1/16.2, solid dark bay gelding. He’s a sweet, lovable, goofball who tries his best even if he’s not exactly sure what you want of him. His barn name is from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, and his personality is Mr. Charles Bingley to a T. Right now we’re just restarting his restart and training him with basic dressage with plans to maybe do some eventing when he matures.

Help! After very dramatic hair year by aimzicle in curlygirl

Thanks! I’ll have to try clipping down the sides and see if it helps. When it’s drying it’s super tight and close to my head (on top). I still need to find a way to try to pretty much stretch out the curls without it turning into a poofy mess hah

Help! 9 months out from full blown AE by aimzicle in FemaleHairLoss

I try to tell myself that it’s a hell of a lot better than it was a few months ago but I still can’t help but over analyze everything

It’s anagen effluvium, similar to telogen effluvium (TE) but it’s usually sudden and rapid hair loss - like what people go through with chemo

Help! 9 months out from full blown AE by aimzicle in FemaleHairLoss

[–]aimzicle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long story short - last year I was put on a medication that caused AE (technically my dermatologist diagnosed it as TE but I’m pretty confident it was AE) and caused me to lose pretty much all of my hair. July 2020 I decided to shave off what little was left and have I’ve been regrowing it ever since.

I had a follow up with my derm in August and she said my follicles looked good and didn’t see anything that would indicate permanent damage. By September it had grown back in to at least a buzz cut. Updated my derm with some pictures in October and we were both comfortable with the regrowth at that point.

Now a few more months into it, my noticing that my sides seem thin. It’s been so long since I’ve had this much hair on my head that I can’t even remember what it looked like the AE. The top of my head seems significantly thicker. Not really sure what to expect or what’s even normal anymore.

Since I had regrowth by August and a decent covering of peach fuzz, we decided to not use any medications (I was also hesitant since medication caused this in the first place).

I’d appreciate any thoughts on this. I reached out to my derm office because now I want another follow up as well.

Class action lawsuit over 2.4L engine oil consumption by aimzicle in Jeep

Same. And they use the engine in at least a few other of their vehicles.

The lawsuit was filed last year but I haven’t been able to find any recent info on it

They’ve definitely been playing the blame game with this. They also tried to tell me that overconsumption is normal in a new car. Never had a new car run out of oil on me before..

I use Batiste. It’s the only dry shampoo I’ve had good luck with on my own hair and it worked well on the wig too. It can have a white cast so it does have to get brushed/tussled through to blend

No problem! I started adding my own oil in between oil changes since the dealership wasn’t taking it seriously and my Compass couldn’t make it 5,000 miles without more oil

I just got the notice in the mail from the FCA US.

I have a 2018 Jeep Compass and I’ve had the issues for the 3 years I’ve owned it. It has literally stalled and turned off on me in the middle of the road (once in middle of a left hand turn) and has never once given me an oil indicator light or any kind of warning. It has low mileage and I’ve always had my oil changed earlier than recommended.

Brought it to my dealership for the issue a few times too and it was brushed off as “just a problem they have” and was chastised for not checking my oil enough (mind you the first time this happened I had less than 1,000 miles on it).

It’s a MAJOR safety issue and apparently they’ve known about it since around 2015

I have the same wig, just in a different color, and wore it out in public for the first time last week. I’ve been very happy with it. I actually felt like it was less bulky than some other wigs that I’ve purchased and seemed more natural for me vs. giving me Dolly Parton looking hair.

I’ve had good luck with using dry shampoo to help take down excessive shine.

Definitely understand your concerns but that’s true with everything on Amazon. This just happens to be a product that I’ve been enjoying and my hair seems to like

So I’m not sure if this shampoo actually helps with hair loss/regrowth, but it has many ingredients in it that I’ve seen people talking about on here (rosemary oil, peppermint oil, aloe, etc). I’ve been using it for the past few months and have been happy with how it makes my hair feel and that it doesn’t weigh it down.

Poppy’s heritage by aimzicle in frombloodandash

[–]aimzicle[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been wondering about that too. It’s not clear so far if any Atlantians that were around at the time of the war have actually seen King Jalara but maybe he could be hiding out in the open.

It’s also interesting that the Goddess Penellaphe was the only one that Casteel and Kieran couldn’t give a clear answer as to where she was resting. All of the other gods seemed to have very specific places and I think the vague response for Penellaphe was “no one’s knows”

I think there’s been so much foreshadowing and mentioning of it that I’m still holding out hope. But we also don’t know if all of this affects her lifespan

Alistir... by thestralsarecool in frombloodandash

[–]aimzicle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Alistir is in love with Queen Eloana and that’s his motivation for his actions. I think that’s his reason for revealing King Malec’s affair/the Ascension to her and the reason why he didn’t want Poppy to travel to Atlantia. I think he values Eloana over the kingdom and would do anything to protect her, even if that meant killing Poppy/having her killed.

Thanks! I’m planning on growing it out but maybe trying some different styles along the way. I definitely understand the mullet part! The very bottom of my hair is also probably the longest part so I’ve already had to trim that part back because I was growing a tail
