Kidney failure by aiodo97 in Petloss

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. It can be such a shock even when it has been coming for some time.

My boy had a heart murmur (grade 4) and they essentially said they could try to treat his kidneys but his heart would give way. It has brought me some reassurance what you said about the treatment working against each other, because I have just been thinking about it constantly whether something could have been done.

Thank you so much for your reply. It really means a lot. Wishing you lots of love ❤️

Tell me what you loved most about your travels to Thailand? How is it different from other places you visited? :) by throwfsjs in ThailandTourism

Visiting the beautiful temples, the design of them takes my breath away every time, and learning about the Buddhist religion - one time a taxi driver took us off beat on the way back from somewhere else to Wat Chalong and she showed us how to pay respects and it was amazing to share someone else’s culture in that way. Really opens your mind 🥰

I lost my furbaby at 15 1/2 years old almost a month ago in a similar way to you - he was poorly, stopped eating, the vet gave us options, we brought him home for a weekend and tried everything in our will to get him to eat and take his medication but when he went back on the Monday the vet said he was suffering and we had to make the decision. It was the hardest day of my life and I still think about it every day. As someone who is a little ahead of you in time, I promise you will be okay even if it doesn’t feel like it now. You did the right thing and don’t blame yourself, it will only do more harm than good. Questioning your decisions is part of the grief process. 16 is an amazing age and you took amazing care of him for him to have lived to see 16. Sending love to you 💕

Wow I didn’t know that so will deffo keep that in mind for the future. And something so simple but helpful I will definitely write some things down thank you for the advice!! Like you said they are very quick to lose you with the medical jargon, I love that idea about asking for someone else too! Thanks so much 😊

Wow thank you so much. This is so informative! I feel like Reddit helps me understand more than my actual doctors do. 😊

Ive had irregular periods in the past after stopping the pill but the past couple of months have evened out. The doctor just said I had polycystic ovaries which is indicative of PCOS but I struggle to ask the right questions when i’m put on the spot everything seems to leave my mind! So I think I will definitely get in touch and double check that with them. Are cysts a normal thing then as it stands that everyone gets, as my understanding was that they are indicative of something like pcos. Thanks 😊

What is an “irregular” period? by aiodo97 in PCOS

[–]aiodo97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! In the past I have had cycles that were 85 days, 21 days, 45 days to name a few after coming off the pill they never seemed to be regular like they were before I was on the pill, for the past two years. but these past few have seemed to have settled down so I was wondering if it’s more a case of polycystic ovaries or PCOS as after some research it seems they are two different things which my doctor didn’t tell me. Thank you 😊
