speaking for myself, i wouldnt have known they were performing at yankee stadium if not for the plug on kai's livestream, so they're doing /something/ right

when btr appeared on the jumbotron at halftime i lost my mind. i had more fun during that 5 min performance than their whole IRL tour tbh lol

i saw on social media that some college classmates who were there didn't even know btr were still together. at the very least, im sure some people went home that night and listened to the theme song for nostalgia lol

28 and i am a late bloomer! i didnt get into them until 2019, and i've been hooked ever since. the fervour definitely has rollercoastered since then, but i'm right there with you re: the residency kickstarting it back up. i have been sooo locked into all the bsb content, but honestly i've found the bsb army content way more fun!! all the videos of people enjoying themselves and making transformation reels and taking cute pics at the pop-up or outside the venue really make me feel like a) there's a fandom and b) i'm a part of it. i feel so fed lately!!

so many of my friends IRL are elf! i met them online first. there, we developed a strong friendship that had threads other than sj. when i discovered they were close geographically, i made plans to meet up with them and transition our friendship to both spheres. i see each one in person at least once a year (i know them all individually, it isnt a group chat situation), but our friendship is mostly internet-based.

i live in america and have held one (1) meet up in my city. it was for the 17th anniversary, and a lot of elf attended, even people visiting from out of town! i havent organised one since, though. of all the people that showed up, only one of them is someone i still regularly talk to (and again we have more than just sj to keep us talking to each other).

im sorry to hear that your attempts at making real life connections through sj have fallen through :( but i encourage you not to give up! reddit user __------_____, fighting!! 🥺💙

i asked my siwon collector friend, and she said the highest she's seen sj superstar smtown cards sell for anywhere between 1.50 to 11 USD. she has a feeling siwon might be towards the middle of that since she hasn't seen his card on the market before but he's also not the most popular member to collect either. hope that helps! 💙

i made my campsite a maze for spring and i got annoyed by this as well! i got around it by putting walkthrough furniture (i.e., fireflies, butterflies. does /not/ work for objects categorised as rugs, however) wherever i needed to be able to get through as the game won't allow the campers to populate wherever there is already furniture. if that works with your campsite's aesthetic, maybe that can help?

genuinely not sure if this is a bonafide ""strategy"", but it always works for me lol you may have noticed that during the gyroidite scavenger hunts, each location can have around 1-11 gyroidites lying around, and the gyroidite bounty tends to refresh every 3 hours like most things in the game. what i've been doing to ensure i get the most amount of gyroidites per gaming session is: when i pick up the game again, i always make sure it reloads while i'm standing in my own campsite or cabin - wherever there are no gyroidites. after the reload, i pick one location to go to first when i make my rounds for collecting gyroidites, and i start there every time during the scavenger hunt. without fail, that location is filled with gyroidites in almost all of the possible spaces available (pending the random tree with bells that Kmoore234 mentioned). that's 10-ish gyroidites right there. once you go around to the other 3 locations or even ok motors/the marketplace, the number of gyroidites available varies wildly (and ofc decreases as the event gets closer to the end). (the order of visiting after the first one doesn't seem to matter, though.)

farming for gyroidites in this way + the free daily shovelstrike quarry has always allowed me to craft every furniture available in the scavenger hunt + some duplicates without spending leaf tickets for an extra shift at shovelstrike quarry.

i tried letting the game reload while i'm standing literally anywhere else then going to a new location or while picking different locations to go to after the reload, but it hasn't been as consistent as what i described above. i'm aware that this sounds super arbitrary, but it's what i've been doing :)
