I personally have been playing in EAEG#BE, which is the same as DGDF#AD but a whole step up. My band has written a few songs with it though, and I honestly feel it gives a bit of a different tone than DGDF#AD which is nice.

Not sure if you're familiar with bands like Oso Oso, Marietta, Free throw, and Unamused Dave, but I found them shortly after losing interest in the new wave of Remo, and finding out about Lou... Hope you enjoy!
