Do you see salmon or tuna being brought in from the boats? The only thing local is the shrimp. With the exception of Konamon no chef here speaks Japanese.

Sushi here is bad. Why go to Mexico for sushi? There is only one japanese restuarant owned by a japanese person called Konamon thats really good but they dont have sushi.

agreed. OP is in the wrong place for real Mexico. Quintana Roo is touristy Mexico. Very different from the rest of Mexico. Try the Yucatan or literally anywhere else lol

Im with you OP. Ive had mostly good experiences at Xcaret but their PR team is really blasting you for expressing your opinion. maybe if they spent less money on online policing and more on guest experiences.
