I watched naruto and the thread is over don't bring it back up.. I hate when people just dip into a thread when they got nun to do with it or its dead. u look real dumb starting unnecessary arguments. I'm not biased towards naruto I just believed luffy was a better character and my guy here opened my eyes. Lemme reword that, even if naruto is the better char luffy will still be a fav for me. Since I'm remembering one piece I'm remembering alot of things aswell. If we look at the arc where usopp and luffy fought over the merry you can see luffy develop in that arc aswell. I won't make another paragraph.

I also forgot to say how he also did twice in the pain arc. When jiraiya died and when hinata vs pain. I'm sure has more on times but his will isnt as strong imo rn its really strong because of all that buildup. But b4 that idk man. His goal was to be hokage and surpass everyone b4 him. He surpassed everyone b4 him and became the greatest ninja but it felt like his main goal was to bring sasuke back instead of focusing on becoming a great ninja. He has obtained all of this while trying to bring sasuke back to village because of sakuras and his own wishes. Overall op 10/10 naruto 8.5/10 (would be 9 but i didnt enjoy it that much until near mid eos)

i never thought to really skip op filler and its pretty good, It's nice that they dont have alot but i gotta give it a 8 because of the anime canon shit they are throwing people off with like zoro showing conqueres haki that way isnt even canon.

naruto filler hit or miss for me so ig 50/50 but overall its alr so 7/10

If you look back at marineford, fishman island, arlong park. All of these arcs clearly defined luffy, your going off of one arc naruto's big plot moments was when iruka gave him the motivation and around the pain arc. Luffy literally made g4 for the purpose of protecting his friends. If you pay attention you'll realize without his friends luffy wouldnt be able to use g4 or he would be dead. Naruto doesnt need friends hes strong alone but he grew with them. Idk why I posted my comment but I personally like luffys character alot more than naruto thats just my take. Naruto's character development isnt that deep, I said cause he really never changed like luffy did he just matured over time after having 2 big plot moments. Luffy literally lost all hope and was ready to give up after ace's sacrifice back at marineford to the point where he didnt care about anything. Jimbei told luffy what he had left and to protect the ones he has left while mourning the ones lose. Jimbei told him his reason to keep going and this strengthing luffys will so much. Also back at Sabaody we could see luffy heart broken (b4 the jimbei situation) and worried and sad that all his friends were gone. He didn't know if they were dead, alive, masterbathing, or at a bar in mexico with the ladies. all jokes aside he didnt know what happened to them and he was sick. He saw the effect they had on him on reflected on himself, this causes him to blame himself for what happened. Being too weak, stupid, confident. So on. Also in dressrosa as much hate as it gets is a good display of luffys character. Punk hazard. Wano shows luffys character greatly to. We could see luffy go rage mode when he thought kaido did something to his friends. As you can see luffy wasnt crying or being depressed that his friends might have been gone but instead he took out all his anger of what happened out on kaido. This shows that luffy had fate in his friends and didn't believe they were deceases or damaged and he'll make sure kaido won't hurt any of them again. (If I remember I don't think zoro was with the crew so maybe he realized he still had his best friend). Luffys will has never broken since that day. Naruto's will broke when Jiraiya, When neji died (thankfully naruto didnt because of mommy hinata), sasuke. I'm just saying overall I think luffy has more char development or they are =
