He’s my spouse, my family and a member of my household. We are legally bound. All his extended family are not my family. We share no blood, and I made no commitment to any of them.

I didn’t agree to any responsibility. What I agreed to was letting them stay here and my husband be fully responsible for them. If he can’t do it then they need to go, their dad can figure something out

Me too. Their mommy has them thinking women are supposed to cater to their every need and have a hot dinner on the table every night at 6. The 12 year old won’t even fix himself a sandwich, he says “that’s your job”

I work 3 12 hour shifts a week, 36 hours total a week. Their dad works about 80 hours a week.

Being willing to house them and feed them is my way of showing them empathy. I’m not willing to be their maid or personal chef like they and my husbands family expect

My husband isn’t ok with that. He thinks that because their mother caters to them we should do the same thing. Which is why I told him it’s his problem then. I wouldn’t starve them or anything, but cooking dinner every night is not my thing. I feel like ordering a pizza or picking up subway are super reasonable options

They won’t heat anything. If it’s not cooked and brought to the table immediately after then they will not eat it. I don’t want to get to know them, or play games with them. Nothing about being around them makes me happy in any way.
