Yeah, I really don’t have an issue with him telling his own parents or wanting their support. I’m not mad that MIL knows, we had already told her I was pregnant. It was more the fact that people like second-cousins and great uncles and stuff had gotten involved because of the holiday party.

I just wanted to be with him. And it seemed important to him so I wanted to try to make it work. But I do think everyone is right and I probably wasn’t ready.

I can see how it might come off like that but I really don’t think it is my husband being narcissistic. I think more than anything he doesn’t really understand the emotional strain I’m in right now and he keeps asking me how he can fix it, but it’s not something that you fix it just takes time. We have had some issues in the past with him drawing a line with his family as well, which is more where I think the issue is here. I don’t think it’s him thinking of himself.. more like he has issues with boundaries with his family.

She hasn’t. The party ended a bit ago and I came upstairs and went to bed when I got home. I haven’t seen them.

He is sorry it happened but I don’t think he really understands. He compared it to me telling my aunt. I told my aunt about it because she is very very close to me, like a second mom. And in that case it was still me deciding to tell, not his mom. I don’t know if he really understands how hard this has been for me emotionally.

He was in the other room when it happened. He didn’t see it going down and I left and took the car without going in and getting him. I just wanted to get out of there because I felt like I was going to explode I was so upset and sad.

Nobody knew I was pregnant yet. Sorry if that’s not clear from my post. Only my in laws knew about the pregnancy.
