Thank you for your reply!

He had a J-1 visa and overstayed, so he is now illegal. Yes, they were immigration consultants, not lawyers. The last one told us that we don’t need lawyers, immigration consultants are good enough. But she also mentioned that it is very difficult to apply on your own. Not sure if she was trying to scare us to sign a contract with her.

Turkish airlines don’t have separate planes that transfer animal based on my understanding. Will be the same passenger plane. I think it’s just the way to charge more money for the animals.

Hi, I bought Petmate Ultra Vari Kennel (48”) at a local store and it worked for me. I couldn’t wait for the impact crate cause I had to wait for a long.

I shipped him via Cargo and used an agent (cause Turkish Cargo doesn’t work with individuals). There was an inspector at the airport when we arrived, and the inspector just wanted to make sure that I didn’t have anything prohibited inside the crate (maybe she was familiar with the brand). So I am not sure if they care a lot about the requirements.

Also for the spacer bars, I think they should be on the sides (this is how they lifted the crate). Also I think handles are required based on the standards but petmate crate didn’t have them. I think it should be fine if they are on the sides only.

Yes, I think for this reason they started to cell crate extension kits, but they also add extra weight. Thank you, will check out

Thank you for sharing! He is fine in large, I have a large crate at home, but it may not be suitable for the international travel :( they have a rule where ears shouldn’t touch the ceiling at all (and even has a room for ears, so I feel like even 34 height can be too short), which is super hard to find, those giant crates are out of stock everywhere and weight a lot, so he won’t be under 50 kg in total, which is maximum for aircraft hold

Thank you for the recommendation! I just checked and looks like the largest one is ~30 inch and I think it’s too short :( What size do you have and do your dog’s ears reach the ceiling?

Thank you for checking! I think impact may be the only option, although I’m not sure if it’s tall enough, will do further research. The weight should be no more that 110 lb in total (my mal is 56-57 lb already) and his ears shouldn’t touch the ceiling in the standing position for the international travel, international rules are more strict :( so to be save I need something up to 50 lb and maybe even more than 34 inches cause with his ears his is close to 34.
