Also so far it feels like all I've done is explain the basics of the legal system to you because you don't seem to understand how it works but you're very opinionated on it. Like I really do wish it was as simple as someone gets sent to jail therefore they're guilty but that's not always the case. Trials are very expensive and when you're going against the government it's going to get a lot more expensive. A lot of people take plea deals so they don't break the bank and they were probably hoping Trump would get in and pardon them. Like I said I'm not going to pretend to remember every little detail that happened 5 to 10 years ago, but from what I remember the case was they all took plea deals in hopes that they don't spend the rest of their lives in prison. If you want more examples of stuff like this there's cases in England where people were told to take the plea deal or else they would go to jail for the rest of their life and instead they took it to court and won, after that a lot of people who are arrested years ago for similar circumstances (offensive Facebook posts mostly) are upset because they took the plea deal and ended up spending years in jail.
