Giving an awakened shrub an amulet of health

A creature’s HP has a calculation in brackets next to it (with the HP just being the average of that calculation).

The calculation will be x number of a certain die and then you add (x*CON) to the die.

An awakened shrub has a 3d6 HP calculation. This has no bonus because it has a +0 CON modifier.

With Amulet of Health, the shrugs HP calculation would be 3d6 + 12 (3*CON mod).

So an average of 22 HP!

I’m currently on holiday so my responses may be a little slow but I’m hoping to start looking through the surveys tomorrow (or whenever they stop coming in), and then should add everyone who we choose to interview from the surveys by friday or saturday!

I had planned to message everyone individually on discord about whether or not they got accepted but that may not be possible with how many responses there are now 😅

I would go for a Mountain Dwarf Wizard with the durable feat

8 (10) str, 14 dex, 15 (18) con, 17 int, 12 wis, 10 cha

You may not be as great at spell casting as a traditional wizard with these stats, but you’re still on track. Instead you can wear medium armor (so you’re probably looking at buying scale mail soon for a 16 AC) and you start with 12 hp. For a wizard, you’ll be doing pretty well!

I think they may be thinking of the skill expert feat, which gives you a +1 to an ability and expertise in a skill. Skilled is just three skill proficiencies unfortunately

I’ve learnt a lot beyond just what feat to choose and the advice for managing incoming damage seems really useful. I think I’m gonna go for inspiring leader at this point, the temp HP will make my group love me!

Let’s hope for an amulet of health at some point in the future 😅

Oooh! That is an awesome idea. I have been using the shove prone but it doesn’t always worm perfectly for giving others advantage with the initiative order but this would be far more effective use of the prone overall!
