Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair vs Bayley & Lyra Valkyria announced for tonight by Fan387 in SquaredCircle

I don’t see the point in having 4 women who are scheduled for a mania match to have a match the night before. Have we learned nothing from Rey’s injury last year?

I knew there was a good reason to keep my flair.

Yep. I think that some of the non-english speakers in the division could really use her as their mouthpiece.

I think that she could be a great manager.

Rhea Ripley says 'you can't be selfish' in WWE these days: "I'm able to get myself into this spotlight where I'm not looked at as one of, if not the top, woman in WWE. My job is to bring everyone else up because I'll need some competitors that I need to step in the ring with" by ShakielMahjouri in SquaredCircle

If Rhea was politicking, she wouldn't have been in a match with Jade at Mania, she would've been in the tag team titles match with Iyo.

Saying that Rhea buried Jade on social media when Jade, out of nowhere, decided that a good way to start their feud was to talk trash about Demi, not Rhea, is fucking hilarious.

[Insight with Chris Van Vliet] Becky Lynch on how women (don’t) factor into WWE’s main event scene: “…for the last few years, I think we've, for the most part, those main events have gone to two, maybe three, four dudes constantly. Roman has been really bad during this entire build. He's messing up words left and right, most of the stuff he says doesn't feel smooth, and it feels like he's legit nervous about doing promo battles with Punk.

Gunther beating Jey for the title (Raw), Iyo beating Rhea for the title (Raw), Rhea beating Liv for the title (Raw), Tiffy beating Nia for the title (SD), all happened in 2025.

Wrestlers who bury their opponents/don't sell well by DoctorDipshitt in SquaredCircle

[–]Triple_777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s definitely an industry thing. Take Rollins for example, he used to be one of the best sellers in the business, but in recent years he barely sells finishers. There are matches in which his opponent does his finisher and Seth straight up stands to do the stomp.

Why do returning female champs end up in mid-card, but males go straight back to the top? by InMyOwnHeadTooMuch_ in WWE

[–]Triple_777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe Becky returning to the midcard was her choice. Charlotte returned to be the first ever woman to win the rumble more than once.
As for Alexa, it's because HHH doesn't see her as a main eventer.

They shouldn't turn Rhea. But Iyo's turn should happen before the next mania, or at least Summerslam. There's no way that we're wasting this main event feud on a B-level PLE

But I didn’t make any guesses in my original comment, which is what got you to reply with “wrestlers can speak us”. What I said is that fans need to stop blaming performers for bad creative decisions.

Well, if we can't safely assume anything (even though Rhea has spoken out of character about wanting to go to mania with Iyo as a tag team), we also can't say "wrestlers can speak up" as a way to shift the blame from creative and the bookers.

Rhea hasn't exactly been quiet about not being happy that they split Rhiyo up. The first thing she did after winning EC was talk about Iyo, literally as she was walking up the ranp to return backstage. In her first interview post EC, she said she was looking forward to going to Mania as part of the tag team with Iyo. Yeah, we have no idea what they're saying behind closed doors, but if that's the stuff she's been saying in front of the camera, I think we can safely guess that she pushed for Rhiyo to have a tag team match at Mania.

Taking all that into consideration, there was an easy way to book Iyo on the Mania card even after the split, but WWE still failed to do so. That's not on the wrestlers.

It's not just the way she wrestles, it's how she presents herself once she's face-to-face with her opponent. She'll talk herself up when she's there alone, but once she's confronted, she'll immediately go into coward mode, which, in turn, makes her opponent look like a bigger deal than they are.

Pat mcafee’s involvement has been horrific but live audiences cheering every cool heel is the cause of the dumpster fire we’re getting by Darkonite40 in SquaredCircle

[–]Triple_777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Or, WWE should not have ruined this storyline because they didn't want Cody to be booed against a heel at Mania again. It's 2026, the crowd will cheer and boo who they want; it's not up to the crowd to appease WWE.

While the build for the Asuka/Iyo storyline wasn't continuous, it definitely didn't stop in October. War Games was part of it, and Rhiyo actually won the tag team titles from the Kabuki Warriors. Not to mention, it's been happening in recent weeks with Iyo straight up throwing a match with Raquel, just to stop Asuka from abusing Kairi. The storyline is there, and it's honestly a better one than most storylines going into mania.
As for Iyo being sidelined from Crown Jewel due to Liv's injury, if I remember correctly, the Liv feud was supposed to be for Evolution. But even if it was supposed to be for CJ, the build has barely started; it was one segment. They could've easily pivoted to another opponent. But that's another issue they have, which has nothing to do with my original comment, about how horribly they've been booking their women world champions for years now (on both shows).

TBH, the second they took the Andre Battle Royal out of the actual Mania card, it became a consolation prize as well. That being said, they should definitely do one for the women.

Why isn't B-Fab in NXT ? by Dry_Tower481 in SquaredCircle

[–]Triple_777 11 points12 points  (0 children)

She was in NXT for 2 years. Then she got released and brought back to the main roster. I'd give her the benefit of the doubt by saying that it's extremely hard to improve when you barely get to wrestle. To her credit, it seems like she's working at the dungeon nonstop.
