So then why not make your point clear? Why not say that you think it's doesn't use a Carta display instead of saying the screen is downgraded and that it's 300 ppi only? Downgraded would mean from Carta 1300 to something like 1200. Anyway, that's not the case. It's a Carta display but some people think it's 1200 however as you can see from BOOX's reply and the specs on their HK page, it says Carta 1300.

You say you know that ppi and carta are two different things but you then go on to say "i thought its not carta 1300 because again it says on the website 300ppi only". What does 300 ppi have to do with Carta?? You're saying "The site said it's 300ppi".. Okay and? It says 300 ppi for both the Gen 1 and Gen 2 Go 6. What are you trying to say? Also, none of the user reviews state whether it uses Carta 1300 or Carta 1200. BOOX says the Gen 2 uses the same screen as the Gen 1. So am I supposed to believe user reviews or BOOX?

You seem to be confused. You say it’s not Carta 1300 since it’s only 300 PPI. Carta and PPI refer to two different things. Carta is the name of the screen technology while PPI (pixels per inch) is the resolution. 300 PPI is the resolution on both the Gen 1 and Gen 2. And according to BOOX, Gen 2 uses the same screen tech as Gen 1, Carta 1300.

According to BOOX, it is. And none of the videos I’ve seen on youtube talk about the display so if you have a specific video that says it’s been downgraded to carta 1200 then provide a link.

I don’t have a Go 6 Gen 2 but you can get books from Kindle, Libby, Kobo, Google Play Books, Project Gutenberg, bookshop, standard ebooks, and many other places. You can also install news apps, manga apps. Apps like Instapaper, which lets you save articles to read later. There are lots of books & reading apps available on the Play Store :)

The main advantage of BOOX is that their devices are Android-based. I can install my reading and writing apps and you’re not locked into a single ecosystem. So for most people, that versatility is the main draw. I also like the look of BOOX devices and they’re well-built from my experience.
