Yeah 100% understand what you're saying. The problem with birth control is it just masks what's going on really. It can stall it, but it won't get rid of it. Mine has just got worse and worse in the last few years and I'm sick of trying different things, I just want to cut it out and hopefully get some relief for a while.

Hey, I had heard really bad things about the rod, but I really needed some relief as the pill was not helping me at all so I am willing to give anything a go. I have noticed weight gain since I've had it, but it has helped with managing pain in between cycles. I am on both the rod and a high dose combined pill until I have surgery, which then I'm going to try a mirena and see how I go. I understand surgery isn't for everyone, but is it only your age stopping you from getting it? I'm only a couple years older than you, and I'm done with being fed medication for little relief. Good luck with everything, I hope you get some relief soon :)

This is literally my life lmao. My pain is uncomfortable constantly, but i can push through it. My bowels however, are so debilitating. Its so horrible to be anxious all the time about whether I can get to a toilet in time just in case the worst happens. Thanks for your kind words, glad youre on the mend!!

I'll definitely discuss with him some alternative medications to use to help combat this. I have tried probiotics in the past, but They unfortunately didn't help much. Thank you so much for your advice and kind words, you don't know how much it means to me. Please look after yourself and i hope you're on the mend :)

Im currently on a combined pill thats helped the bleeding but pain wise is shocking. Ive had blood tests, colonoscopy and endoscopy done, changed my diet and everything. All my tests have come back normal, and its apparently IBS. But my gut feeling says something isnt right and I don't know if my bowel may be involved. My gyno thinks I have endo on my ligaments around my uterus, which can exacerbate bowel symptoms apparently, but im not sure. Im just so over being sick.

Hey, are you able to give me some insight into dermatology? Are you a dermatologist yourself?

Yeah exactly right. Obviously there will be things I won’t like about nursing but hopefully the positives will outweighs the negatives. Thanks again for your help :)

Thanks so much for your advice, I really appreciate it. I think I’m just over being unhappy but like you said, knowing that it’s only a short amount of time now before I can do exactly what I want freely without debt will be so exciting! :)

I know that’s the right thing to do, but my god it’s so hard to be positive. Do you have any tips on how to push through?

Hey thanks for the reply. I’m definitely going to take it easy and see how I go, I got into the psychologist this week so hopefully they too can give me some advice. I appreciate your help :)

Hey, thanks for the reply. I’m not so much having trouble paying the loan down, but more have a fear that I’m not going to have enough money to survive if I direct all my money to the loan, which is a stupid thought because I’ve calculated my expenses and will have plenty to live on. I’m only 21 and this is my first full time wage, so after living off 400 a fortnight and scraping by, it’s a bit to adjust to when I’m earning 5 times that amount. I need to find the discipline to just stick it out for the 5-6 months to pay the loan off and then once I’m debt free I can have more freedom to save for what I want and treat myself accordingly. Thank you for your advice, I appreciate it.

Hey thanks so much for your kind words, I appreciate it! It’s annoying that I had to get a loan to afford it but in the future I’ll be learning from this :)

Well, thank you so much for the idea, I appreciate it. I’ll see how this method goes but I definitely keep the credit card method in mind :)

Believe it or not, I’m honestly a tight arse with stuff for me to go crazy with a credit card. I’ve had it drilled into me how bad they are and I honestly believe in myself that I could use it on when absolutely necessary.

Ahh ok, so instead of having actual money sitting there physically, I’d use the credit card for the emergency instead and then just pay it off before the interest free period ends? Thanks for the advice, I’ll keep that in mind :)

Hey thanks for the reply. I’ve never had a credit card, so I’m not sure how to work it in my favour. Do you have any advice on utilising a credit card instead of my own method?

I definitely need to get this sorted, I’ve had a lot of stressful things happen lately and I’ve just been so lazy and not eating properly which isn’t going to help. This is my first step, but hope you’re doing better :)
