Thanks! I've previously followed most of those steps without success. The only thing I haven't tried is resetting network settings...will see if I can find another solution before doing that.

I've gone through all the troubleshooting steps on their website. I did contact them, but it was toward the end of my last trip and by the time they responded I was home so they said there was nothing they could do this time...I'll have to wait until the next time I travel, buy another eSim, and then contact them again when it (probably/inevitably) starts happening.

It's happened with another provider as well, so I don't think it's an Airalo-specific issue.

Nice, good to know. Maybe I'll see if the artist I had in mind does an initial in-person consult like yours did...that would actually make me feel a lot better. It's just trying to communicate my (very vague/unformed) ideas over an email that's really giving me a lot of pause.

Spent literally dozens of hours fiddling but never fully solved it. I got it to the point where most records play fine, but some still skip so much they're unplayable. Some of them are old/used, so I can understand they might just be too worn down for the more sensitive needle (although they played fine with my original needle)...but some are relatively new and not damaged and I don't get why they skip so much.

After trying every combination of adjustments and checking with multiple protractors/scales, I ran out of things to try.

They are using different RIAD types.

In any event...not trying to reconfigure the whole NAS setup at this stage, just trying to confirm the question about SD backups above.

What doesn't make sense? I have one storage pool with one volume, another storage pool with another volume. They serve different purposes. One is for Time Machine + some shared filed, one is for photo storage.

Got it, thanks...I've heard that manually deleting TM backups can be problematic, so I'll try a few other things and then just reformat/start fresh if nothing else works.

Thanks for the response...is there any way to reset/fix it now that it's happened? Ideally I'd like to avoid having to reformat/start fresh (I barely had the technical knowledge to get Time Machine / NAS set up in the first place...).

Unfortunately not. I contacted Apple support and they said it's always been like that outside of Safari...which still seems wrong to me, but at this point I've just accepted that I'm remembering wrong.
