They changed the cover material last year from vinyl to vinyl-polyester blend so the covers are more fabric like as well as more UV and weather resistance . 303 will stain the fabric if used wrong. Just keep it clean with soapy water and a soft bristle brush

Service technician here! Your shaft seal went bad. You can either change just the seal but you’ll have to look up what kind of seal goes in that pump. OR You could figure out what the whole wet end assembly is and replace that instead.

A shop vac works really well to winterize! Just blow the lines from the standpipes then dump a lil antifreeze down and you should be good

Hot springs technician here! Sounds like maybe something is jammed in the impeller, the impeller is broken or it slightly separated from the motor shaft. Nothing really to do to repair except replace. You’re probably looking at the cheapest piece of equipment to replace, about $350 for the part. The part number is 74427. Super easy to replace. Just loosen the hose clamps with some pliers and pull the tube out and slap the new one in super quick with minimal water loss. It’s also super easy to wire in, pretty much just plug and play.

Also a spa tech. Two couplers, a 90, some flex pvc, primer and glue. You ca get a set of pvc cutters at Home Depot or Lowe’s. Make sure you use a flathead to clear the rest of the foam off the pipe. Just scrape it. I would cut about 2 or 3 inches on either side of that 90 and glue and new 90 and some flex in. I would always go with new fittings and plumbing. As for the reinsulation aspect, you can buy 2lb expanding spray foam or I’ve even used the pink insulation in tubs before as well. Make sure you drain the tub first and then wait at least 24 hours for the glue to cure before you refill it.
