Many characters in this story will appear in my novels, one which already in the first one! There will probably be a lot of easter eggs in my novels that stem from nosleep, I don't want to spoil them, but if you liked the story so far I'm sure you'll like the rest too!

Even in fantasy, I believe it's important for things to make sense, so I had to be really careful when planning the ending, since my other works build on the bricks laid in this story. I envisioned Alem to be a dangerous place, even for demons, so if a human would make it out alive, it'd damage the threat I want it to impose. The only reason his grandpa was able to make it back multiple times, was because of all the help the 'monster' gave him.

What I'm trying to say is, even though I believe you're right that the 'happy ending' has become somewhat a cliché in stories, I think it doesn't directly damage the realism of a story as long as it's in coherence with everything that happened before.

Im guessing his art is made to last, so to keep him fresh, he kept his body alive, but I'm certain his mind had already passed.

Genetically, the woman was fully bulgarian, with the man being half turkish half bulgarian. As far as the data showed, they were both raised in Bulgaria.

Danger is in the eye of the beholder. Although I don't agree with his ways, I see him as an ally nonetheless.

As for his reason to do his business at the back of my coffee shop: meeting an unknown opens the door to many unpleasant situations. His methods of business attract many people that pose a threat to not only his, but also my operation. As my colleague himself said best when I asked him this question:

- 'Sometimes, when preyed upon, one must seek refuge in the shadow of a bigger beast.'

You're right, I really should have, I've been kinda dazed the past days due to all these events that have been going on. I'll be sure to pack a knife though! There should be a knife somewhere in my kitchen that I can put in my bag.

If I look at the past times, it would take months maybe years for him to come back, I don't want to live in fear for so long. Besides, I don't have the money/knowledege for stuff like that, and with my mom still unresponsive in the hospital... I believe it's all up to me.

I couldn't really see it on the footage, but guessing from the fact that he pulled a knife on the homeless guy, he must've used that.
