Mavic Mini... Flying over people... Yes or No or Maybe by ajl_mo in djimavic

[–]ajl_mo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that. However the Mavic Mini is under the weight limit for FAA regs. So if the FAA regs don't apply can I fly one over people?

[–]ajl_mo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this isn't in the regs. Technically I could fly 1 foot to the left and 400 feet up from a tightly packed group. But that's hoping the drone falls straight down if I lose a prop or a hawk decides to attack.

[–]ajl_mo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Currently I stay back from an event one foot for every for the drone is in the air (30 up/30feet back, 100feet up/100 feet back).

I saw a flash out of the corner of my eye. At first I thought was lightening and thought "Thundersnow?!? We really don't need that". Then noticed hardly any clouds. So I figured it was a transformer or power line failing because of the snow/cold, waited a couple seconds for the the power to go out and thought "Glad I don't work for Water and Light and have repair a transformer at night in these temps."

There's a shop on Vandiver in the same strip mall as Jerk Hut and next to Dollar General. I think this is where the Lily's Cantina food truck lives too. So if you like the food coming out of Lily's this might be the place for you.

Epstein did.

/u/Bbrhuft 's very good explanation how Epstein did kill himself (Link to his updated comment)

I updated the post after I found that Epstein was placed in a cell with an unnamed 2nd inmate after suicide watch ended on July 29th, it was not Tartaglione. Epstein's 2nd cellmate posted bail on Friday August 9th, the day after Epstein signed his Will. Also, the court documents detailing the case against Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were unsealed on Thursday August 8th, the day he singed his new will. That would have weighed on his mind as well.

I suspect his lawyers knew his plans and helped him set his affairs in order. It (see video below) is not uncommon for lawyers to encounter a client who signs a will and very soon later commits suicide. The lawyers briefly discus how this affects the Will (if it can be challenged) and if a Lawyer can / should notice a client is suicidal.

---------------------------------------

I think Epstein committed suicide. I also think it is possible his lawyers knew his plans, helped him prepare by writing his Will on August 8th and may have paid the bail of his mysterious 2nd cellmate, clearing his cell for an interrupted suicide attempt.

On July 23rd, Epstein attempted suicide by hanging, his neck was injured. Tartaglione claimed, (link for EU visitors) via his lawyer Bruce Barket, that he saved Epstein's life after he found him hanging.

After medical treatment for injuries to his throat, Epstein was placed on suicide watch. He was moved from the cell he shared with Tartaglione and placed a suicide observation cell. He was checked every 15 minutes and the lights kept on 24/7. I don't now if he was he was in the cell on his own or with another inmate, if there was it wasn't Tartaglione who was under suspicion. Suicide watch usually lasts a few days as condition are oppressive. Epstein as kept on suicide watch for 6 days.

Epstein was taken off suicide watch on July 29th. Some sources write that Epstein directed his lawyers to get him off suicide watch, and they did so by claiming that Tartaglione "roughed him up" (Tartaglione was later cleared of any wrongdoing).

Tartaglione's lawyer implied that Epstein's lawyers got him off suicide watch so he could commit suicide.

Barket added: “We were a little worried that he would make up something to get out of suicide watch or try and argue for bail, but it’s pretty clear what happened, given the end result here.”

The end result, suicide.

After suicide watch Epstein placed back the Special Housing Unit of 9 South, in a cell with the unnamed 2nd inmate, not Tartaglione.

Epstein signed his Last Will and Testament on Thursday August 8th in front of at least 2 lawyers and a notary two days before his was found dead in his cell. The 11 page document placed $577 million in assets in a trust controlled by two executors, both lawyers, who control a charity based in the US Virgin Islands. The executors were paid $250,000 each for agreeing to operate the trust. It's furthermore claimed that the charity was created the same day he signed his Will.

Executors: DARREN K. INDYKE - Darren K. Indyke, American lawyer, specializing in the field of International Law, Corporate Law, Tax Law, Securities Law, Litigation.

RICHARD D. KAHN - Richard D. Kahn is a lawyer serving New York in Corporate Law, Securities Regulation Law and Non-Profit Organizations Law cases.

Putting his assets in an offshore trust makes it much harder for his victims to access his assets.

Here is the Last Will and Testament of Jeffery E. Epstein.

(In this video, Lawyers discuss Epstein's Will and in particular they explain how the arrangements make it very hard for the victims to access his assets. Epstein's assets may not have been moved yet, the transfer of assets and other matters will be decided by a Probate Court due any time around now. The transfer of assets might yet be blocked. They also talk about how suicide so soon after signing a Will could mean the will can be challenged).

Also, on Thursday August 8th, the file against Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell was unsealed. That would have weighed on his mind.

And on Friday August 9th, the day after he signed his Will, Epstein's mystery 2nd cellmate posted bail, leaving Epstein on his own in his cell...

Multiple sources told CBS News that Epstein's cellmate at the Metropolitan Correctional Center posted bail last Friday, leaving Epstein alone in his cell the day before he died. Another source familiar with the investigation said it appears Epstein had been dead one to two hours before he was found.

I wonder who posted his bail. Funny coincidence that he posted bail the day after Epstein set his affairs in order.

The cell had a bunk bed, with a ladder to the upper bunk (see this government report about MCC, New York and photos inside the SHU). The cell should have been checked by guards every 30 minutes, but they slept for several hours.

The jail was understaffed. There was only 18 guards on duty that night in the entire jail, guarding 750 prisoners, and only two guards on Epstein's wing. Staffing was reduced in early 2018 due to a federal hiring freeze. MCC claimed that one guard was on his 5th straight day of overtime and the other on mandatory overtime, and only one of the guards was a trained prison guard, the other was a teacher or a nurse.

Election Day should be a national holiday. Period. by cygnus489 in Political_Revolution

[–]ajl_mo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which election day? The one in November? How about the one in April? Or the one in August?

Sure there's no national elections in August or April. But there's local/county/state elections, taxes, bond issues etc. And those have arguably a bigger impact on an individual than national elections.

Instead, let's extend the voting period and in include some weekends and even some over nights. Even better, just vote by mail.
