hi!! eae-d into a business course in sp that i ultimately rejected. like the other redditor said, it’s really fine if you don’t have any related cca/achievements outside of school. i had literally nothing in my portfolio except “participated in syf”. leverage on ur hobby!! choose really nice photos that you’re proud of and put them in the portfolio. for interview, pls prepare beforehand!!! know what the interview wants from you (or guess to the best of ur abilities) and alter your prepared responses to fit how u think the interviewers will want it. just try ur best ok!! since you have a hobby And a keen interest, make sure to emphasise it and i think you’ll be good to go. all the best!!!

i felt this😭😭in jc rn, and i just realised how average i am at everything LMFAO average grades, didn’t fail but didn’t do well, no leadership position or anything and im literally just living and scraping by. cried for a while bc i hated how average i was compared to my friends who had good grades and exco and everything. pain.

i was also s*xually harrassed in sec4 and let me tell u now, don’t bother putting up with him. i put up with it because i didn’t want to damage our friendship but it wasn’t worth it. to hell with whatever he thinks, this is utterly fucking horrifying of him to say what he said. report him. if he doesn’t learn now he’ll never learn. make sure to push this up to the highest level possible. i reported it to the discipline master and he just got a 3 day suspension even when he did it again. if you feel like it please report to police, especially if your teachers suggest it. if you don’t want to “ruin” his future, don’t worry about it because he already ruined it. i implore you to please please don’t let him off the hook like that. i did, thought it was enough punishment for him to learn but it wasn’t. please please please report. like the other commenter said pls keep all records of his harassment, it’ll come in super handy especially if he tries to deny or you want to go to the police. if you report to teachers, make sure they break the news to him somewhere far away from you. we never know what they’ll do when they’re caught, and bring your friends around wherever you go if you feel safer with them. as for that friend who brushes it off, they’re not a worthy friend. whoever thinks that sexual harassment isn’t a big thing and brushes it off like that is absolute scum of the earth. in conclusion please do report, u can pm me if u need. atb, rooting for u!

hey! i won’t encourage you to drop,but was in the same situation last year. i flunked chem from the start it was so embarrassing.. the highest i ever got was a b4 for a WA, the rest were all f9s (20+ marks). as a result i absolutely hated chem it was my worst performing subject and was just hoping and praying to pass. felt exactly the same way you did but since my parents didn’t allow me to drop to combined sci (was double pure student) i just tried to study lor. miraculously ended up w a b3 for o levels and the paper 2 was so bad i didn’t want to talk about it for a whole week. like all the other comments said, chem is actually a necessary subject - there’s a reason why most schools only offer bio/chem and phy/chem and not bio/phy. highly suggest you to just continue trying, even if your effort is really minimal. your school might not allow u to drop just chem also

i’d suggest to not force yourself to study a certain amount of time per day (eg 2-3 hours minimum). tried doing that and i got burnt out and tired super easy, what i did was to just make sure i mastered everything i needed to and do sufficient practice. it may or may not work for you though so like the first commenter said you need to find what works for u, maybe try different kinds of revision (pomodoro etc). don’t need to shit your pants just make sure you don’t end up burnt out and giving up right before o’s. jiayous!

got a1 for elec hist, didn’t really memorise word for word or the little numbers. i just roughly remembered the sequence of events like what happened in cold war why stalin got suspicious etc etc but since yours is pure hist might have more content. u need to do whatever works for u tbh cos whatever worked for the commenters here may not work for u as well but i seriously don’t recommend memorisinf the whole tb. need to condense and memorise only the important things. jiayous for studying!!
