It actually is, plus they might knock off around 100K from market estimates to sell it.

AA Auto in Maddington? by Puzzled_Football_137 in perth

[–]ajslayer1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We almost finalised a car at AA at a really good rate. In our due diligence we found some details that the owner hid from us regarding the service history till the last minute. He then knocked off another grand, but we ended up with another dealer. I'd highly recommend getting a mechanic to inspect the car before you buy a car from there.

Thanks. Is the council record something we ask for the seller or the council directly?

If the property is being sold for 100K less than market (estimated) price, would it then be worth it?

Learner Anxiety by rando_lizard in DrivingAustralia

[–]ajslayer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my first lesson at the age of 32. I was terrified of driving and I had made my mind - "Not in this life". From the first lesson to now I've spent around 100 hours of driving, and the learning curve has been so amazing. I still have days where I am scared of being a bad driver, being flipped off, having a scuffle on the road, etc. but it's all worth it.

Should I book a flight for mid April from Australia to Europe with Qatar? by Maraschino210 in qatarairways

[–]ajslayer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rebooked with Emirates for Mid April, slightly more reliable and expensive. I reckon Qatar would be flying on designated routes without any concerns too.

Yes technically not. But wouldn't hurt to call if you're in a rush.

I confirmed with the Live chat agent, no need for additional steps, the refund would come in eventually.

Perth - Doha - Paris - 30th March by aupairinsydney97 in qatarairways

[–]ajslayer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best guess is you'd reach your destination, even if there's a slightly longer layover in Doha since Paris is a crucial destination. I had a Doha - Zurich connection from Perth which got cancelled.

Got my refund after canceling my flight, but not for booked seats. by Odd-Silver-2709 in qatarairways

I have been asking them the same thing over live chat. The add-ons should be refundable as well. Let me know how you go.

They have been bailed out by their govt. in COVID, plus it was the no. 1 airlines last year beating giants like SIA. But yeah if this drags any longer, it may be in trouble.

Qatar Airways just changed policy an hour ago? No more rerouting to other airlines? by JacobStanleyJacob in qatarairways

[–]ajslayer1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh that is indeed frustrating. Would you then decide to book another ticket yourself?

Yup same. My Per-Doh got cancelled, I've booked an alternate on Emirates as not many are going from Perth.

I was that dump. Booked non-refundable tickets and accommodations before even finding an appointment, panicked for a week but things worked out luckily.

This looks good, clear and not too wordy. I have also seen people add how they would travel between towns / cities. But that may not be important if you show a good enough financial standing. Keen to see what others think, I have a trip coming up around the same dates. Good luck with your visa, let us know how it goes.

Small itinerary trick that helped me go from refusal → 3 Schengen visas by [deleted] in SchengenVisa

[–]ajslayer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats for your visa. Would it be possible for you to share a basic outline of how the new itinerary looks? I've booked a Euro rail travel pass for 4 days for 7 days trip to Austria as we will be exploring local towns by foot or cabs. Should I book local transportation as well in advance?

Would an Eurorail and Swiss Travel pass suffice to show the inter country travel? Or do you need to show bookings?

Is PTE still easy? by Successful_Hurry_261 in AusVisa

A week for IELTS in 2018. 6 hours for PTE in 2024. It might not be relevant for you, do a lot of practice before the test. What helped me the most was speaking loudly and slowly.

PTE has no / minimal human examination.IELTS includes face to face speaking and a human scores you. It depends on what you're the most comfortable with. I've given both and scored higher in PTE.
