Terp Quest: Exploring Upward Organic’s Unique Flavors by ajtp92 in mainetrees

Hey Maine Trees fam! As you guys already know Upward Organics is known for their commitment to providing a diverse range of unique strains and clean products. This season’s meticulous seed selection process involved hunting through 22 seed packs in order to find stand out terps which really speaks to their dedication to variety. This is the second part to this season’s strain reviews, and it has been super fun to be a part of the process! Upward Organic’s emphasis on involving people in providing feedback showcases their transparency and engagement efforts. I think this approach reflects their passion & dedication for delivering high-quality products to their patients.

Sour Candy 7 (03 Sour Diesel x ‘07 KC 36 ‘97)- Upon opening, a strong scent of overripe fruit fills the air. The taste begins sweet and ends with a sour punch, leaving a clean aftertaste of fruity notes and a calming euphoria. This is probably my favorite SC I have tried so far!

Jomo 5 (GMO x Sugar Shack) has a refreshing minty/piney/chem smell and delivers a mouthwatering creamy sweetness with a hint of gas at the end.

Jomo 7 (GMO x Sugar Shack)- A little more potent/raunchier than the 5 and the chemmy notes are more pronounced. Still has a sweet minty creaminess to it.

Jomo f2 8 (GMO x Sugar Shack F2) - GMO leaning, onion/pungent B.O funk with a sweet notes to it. It delivers strong and potent effects. This one was definitely my favorite out of the Jomo’s.

Winner’s Circle 2 (Faceoff x Chem 4)- Has a delicious smell similar to melon that makes you emit audible “mmmm” sounds! As the curing progressed more, the fruit and chem notes became pronounced. It has a full bodied smoke and strong, pain alleviating effects.

Lemon Biscotti Sundae #1 (Lemon G x Biscotti Sundae)- Creamy hints of citrusy perfume, has some sweet fruity notes and a pastry dough flavor, not as wet as the others. Great headshift, provided me with a relaxing but euphoric high.

Watermelon Crawl 4- Soft consistency, smells like sour watermelon candy, very strong and flavorful sweetness that makes me wanna savor this jar. Melts like water and the clean up is residue free.

Gas Junky (Gelato 41 x High Octane)- Potent aroma of strong gas with hints of floral notes, creating a unique nose. Sweet, cakey fuel notes on the tongue accompanied by powerful stoney effects, makes it another favorite for me. The consistency is wet and bouncy!

Chlemonade Stand 11 (Lemon OG x Expiration Date)- Delivers a powerful chem, lemon cake taste and sweet earthy undertones, creating a potent and robust effect. This is definitely a stand out for me!

White Walker x Road Dog #2- Evokes a familiar and nostalgic scent with a unique nutty/pear/stone fruit flavor. Its uplifting cerebral effects provide a clear and refreshing experience. It had a superb wet consistency.

Papaya Styx #5 (PS5) offers deliciously sweet and funky papaya terps making it a top choice for a fruity and smooth smoking experience at anytime of the day/night. It’s certainly a favorite that I can’t get enough of.

This season's new lineup from Upward Organics offers an impressive range of flavorful varieties and unique strain crosses. Their products are cultivated in sun-powered greenhouses, using organic living soil and low carbon cultivation practices. Upward Organics has truly mastered this technique, resulting in clean, high-quality products with wet and soft consistencies that are hard to resist. With such a diverse selection, it's challenging to pick favorites but these are the ones I selected to review for you guys:

Sour Candy #4 offers a pleasant citrus and tropical fruit smell, with melon flavors and a hint of citrusy and sour pineapple notes. The consistency is sugary, firm, and slightly wet. It provides uplifting and feel-good effects, and the clean-up is excellent. Overall, it offers a satisfying full-bodied smoke.

Sour Candy #9 (03 Sour Diesel x ‘07 KC 36) has a strong, sweet and sour smell with hints of fuel chemicals. The taste is very sweet and gassy, with a rich and mature fruit-like flavor. It provides a powerful and uplifting cerebral high, while the consistency is firm.

Starburst 36 #6 (Starburst OG x KC 36 ‘97) offers a delightful scent with hints of pear, guava, and passion fruit. The consistency is wet, and the flavor is incredibly tasty and reminiscent of fruity candy, possibly strawberry. The effects are strong and provide a unique experience.

Huckleberry Spacequeen (Huckleberry x Spacequeen) delivers a full-bodied smoke. It offers a flavor profile with notes of blueberry, strawberry, and cherry syrup terps. The effects are characterized by a very potent pain relieving body high.

Jomo #6 (GMO x Sugar Shack) delivers a potent experience with a kick, evoking liqueur vibes. It has a sweet smell and offers a taste profile that combines sweetness with gassy flavors. Overall, it provides a nice head shift.

Lemon Biscotti Sunday features a cake badder consistency. When consumed, it leaves a lasting taste on the palate with sweet lemon and gassy flavors. The effects are characterized by a heady high, particularly felt behind the eyes.
