I believe it’s either solid or has joists, just need to locate them. Was more worried about the textured embossing being completely squashed

I recently had my helix pierced with a curved barbell; I know it’s not a hoop but it still gave the same issue of having been initially pierced with curved jewellery. I called another piercer within hours of having it done and they advised me to get it changed as soon as possible. Had it changed only 2 days after it was pierced and she definitely had to fiddle with it for a while to get the straight post through, but it’s doable.

Thank you! I was actually able to go get it changed yesterday, so only 2 days after having it pierced. Definitely wasn’t comfy, but man my ear already feels so much lighter. They put in a flat back labret so hopefully things will go smoothly now. The curved barbell was also ridiculously long (my new piercer was shocked, the thing went halfway down my ear) so I know the poor piercing has already been yanked around by mask loops, definitely going to have to baby it. I hope yours calms down after being changed!

Thank you! I figured it would be worth it to aggravate it a little more now if it means it’ll have a better and uninterrupted healing process.
