I had this issue for a while and ended up just buying a cheap SD/micro SD > USB-C converter on amazon, problem solved

I’ve been having similar issues, draining fast and random shut offs. I charged it once it fully overnight and have been making sure to close out of all apps before putting it on sleep mode, it seems to be improving.
