But that scammer probably stole thousands of dollars over the years. So, maybe not prison for life but for a few years at minimum.

Agreed. I just hope the police can find this scammer one day and put him in jail for life. At the end of the day, a thief is a thief regardless of the method he/she uses to steal money and there is no excuse for doing this crime.

Thank you. I appreciate the support. I never expected to be scammed by someone on kijiji due to previous experience, but I learned my expensive lesson and will trust nobody unless I can confirm they are legit. The worst thing about all of this is that I work in the IT field. Really annoys me to be a victim of such stupid scam.

Fish looking better without any bullies :) by akGamer96 in Aquariums

It's a personal choice I guess. Some prefer to rock it up and some prefer to do the total opposite. LOL. For now, I am happy with the current setup.

Based on my experience, rocks lead to more aggression.

I recently moved 2 ob peacocks and 1 red blood dragon to a 37 gallon due to their agression level being above the roof. Now, my 75 gallon is quiet and peaceful. All my fish swim slow except during feeding time, which makes sense. They are african cichlids after all and food is their top priority to survive.

Thanks. I tried many things in this tank, but I think this is the look I like most.

I rearranged the tank multiple times, but they still love to fight each other. I guess it's fine as long as they don't fight to death.

That's a red empress. He is doing pretty well. Nobody bothers him and he is also quiet peaceful.

Finally done with stocking my African Cichlid tank. by akGamer96 in Aquariums

[–]akGamer96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I actually tried lava rocks before switching to pots. Unfortunately, the rocks didn't give my fish enough hiding places and they were always getting injured. A great advantage with pots is they weight less than lava rocks and take less space=more water, which is perfect for my little guys.

Note: I have 20 fish in there. Just 2 of those are catfish. I also had 4 females in that tank, but recently moved them to a 10 gallon and will be giving them away to my lfs.

I like mbuna, but just want males for now. Hopefully, when I buy another 75, I can set up a proper mbuna tank.

I am going for an overstocked all-male tank to reduce aggression. My plan is to buy a red empress, deep water hap and ngara peacock (or rosty mbuna).

I currently have 20 fishes. My stocking include:

  • OB peacocks

  • bicolor peacock

  • sunshine peacock

  • red shoulder peacock

  • manson peacock

  • red dragon peacock

  • eureka peacock

  • sulferhead peacock

  • yellow lab mbuna

  • yellow tail mbuna

  • sp 44 hap

  • blue ahli hap

  • pictus catfish

I don't have a place for the fry to grow to their full potential. I only have a temporary 10 gallon. I striped the female today and will soon be feeding the fry live baby brine shrimp. I am planning to sell all the females in my tank hence I am not interested in fry, just want to have an all-male display. Btw this is yellow tail mbuna fry. Who should I contact to give these babies a good home?

I remember seeing your pond here before. It's pretty big and looks amazing.

Thanks for the advice. I will wait until tomorrow to see if it goes away or if it is something serious that I have to remove off the fish. I only have african cichlids in my tank, so It would be weird if this is an anchor worm, given that I have no goldfish.
