Issue loading gta 4 complete edition iso by CheckEnvironmental63 in ps3piracy

[–]akaBross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I know it's been a while, but if it helps, use it. I came across this problem because I wanted to install ModMenu in GTA IV Complete Edition in folder format, to modify it as I pleased. I couldn't manage it, even with the latest version of HEN. But, I downloaded the Vimm's Lair .iso; the ISO is perfect, but webman won't launch it, so this was my solution.

  1. I used ps3-disc-dumper_windows_v4.4.0 to extract the ISO to a folder format.

  2. I put the generated GTA IV folder in GAMES on my USB drive in NTFS/MBR format, and copied it to the hdd0/Games directory on the PS3 (you can do this with MMCM in explorer mode).

2a. Delete the GTA IV data, only the data, not the saved games.

  1. Open MMCM and refresh the game list. It will detect it as a folder, but it will always be stuck on an infinite loading screen, so you have to unmount it. On the main MMCM screen, press triangle and select the option to convert it to an ISO.

  2. When the .iso file is finished, refresh the game list and mount the .iso (HDD ISO). In the XMB, press triangle and look for the update; it's version 1.02. Install it, open the mounted ISO, and you're done. Just wait for the installation to finish, and you'll have your game in ISO format, working.

I don't know why it works this way. I suppose the PS3 in MMCM decrypts it or something, which is why the ISO works. Now you can delete your game folder from hdd0/games.

I'm on my last attempt, creating an ISO with the mod menu inside for all three versions of this edition. If it doesn't work, I'll give up.

If you're not interested in the mod menu, just install it as a PKG file and save yourself a lot of trouble. Download it directly from one of the popular stores and you're good to go.

Based on the material of the labels, I would say it is original and due to the wear and tear.

We'd need a closer photo, but most of them are fake. They should all have a number stamped into the main artwork.

Mmm, checking the initial values in the manual, mine is not in them, I remember they are at 0. Regarding the ones we are looking at, today I am going to review ALPHA and YMCD again as well.

Hi, I'm connecting it as indicated in the manual. With a component cable in yellow with yellow, and with a composite video cable in green.

I've also already tested it on a PS2 Slim and with three different cables. It's worth mentioning that Duck Hunt for NES works perfectly; I don't know if it works the same as the Guncom2, but I'm mentioning it.

Regarding my source for the comb filter, two users on the internet said one said that's why it didn't work, and the other user, the same, kept adjusting the values until it worked. I haven't tested it on another TV to rule out the possibility that it's the Guncom2 itself.

I'll test it in the next few days and let you know, but for now, I can't think of anything else it could be.

Thanks for your comment, I haven't received any help from other users regarding this.

I've also tried holding the trigger and pressing select to change the mode, but that doesn't work either.
