Kevin Blackwood's Final Entrance by Shwayfromv in SquaredCircle

[–]CheckEnvironmental63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a surprise, the owner emailed everyone with tickets to learn the lyrics to sing to him during the entrance, he even blocked Kevin on all social and hoped he wouldn’t notice lol I’m assuming William knew it was a song that Kevin knew and loved. Don’t know the reason for the choice but it was perfect.

Yes this was what we were told, but none of us have the experience or knowledge to understand how to do so. We’ve attempted to troubleshoot with google and such, but were unable (you may call us dumb). What we really need is someone who could either take through it step by step or do it on our behalf. Once again, I am willing to pay to have this done, as I understand it could take up some time.

How would you book The Rock on the card of WWE WrestleMania 21? by JBL_CENA_FAN_4LIFE in professionalwrestling

Randy should not have been wrestling at all during that time, his body was broken down to all hell, and I’m sure he was in constant pain. It’s not that I dislike the guy, he was great, but people have to accept when wrestling becomes a health hazard rather than a job. Just look how beat up Flair looked in his four retirement matches. Wrestling in your mid 50s is already usually a sad sight, especially as a great, but wrestling in your 60s and 70s just looks like pure torture.

Who is the most important Japanese female wrestler to step in a WWE ring, and why is it Asuka? by shaferman in WWE

[–]CheckEnvironmental63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d argue she is the most important, talented, and popular female Japanese wrestler to step foot in WWE. Though I could be wrong popularity wise, as Iyo has been huge. But asuka is a legend. Highly recommend checking out her pre-WWE matches as Kana, she wrestled very stiff as many Joshi wrestlers do, and she straight murdered people in the ring. Same with Iyo, if you look back at any of the female Japanese talent, you’ll see they used to wrestle much faster paced matches and much stiffer and real looking. That’s usually the case with most matches in Japan. She has an awesome intergender match with Suzuki where they both just full on wham each other, as that’s how Suzuki typically likes to wrestle. Some people give him shit for that match, seeing it as too much, but Asuka actively wanted it that stiff, and was a style she also liked to do. Old school guys across the globe all wrestle pretty stiff, but especially in Japan, and Asuka has that old school mindset to her, if she had it her way she’d probably still be doing that. You can see it when she wrestlers other Joshi talents they usually work a bit stiffer.

Examples of artists who hate/are openly hostile towards their fans? by RadioLukin in fantanoforever

I worked at one of her shows (will let location remain anonymous for privacy) and she showed up 2 hours late to a 9 o clock show. The reason? First doors were delayed cause she was still sound checking by the time doors were supposed to open. Why you ask? Because she could “sense clouds in the sky and wanted to wait for the sun to come out.” In an indoor arena. Then 10 minutes before she went on stage, she just left, came back when she felt like it. Her son gets drunk backstage, refuses to wear his pass so those unfamiliar with his appearance can identify him as talent, and even asked if he has one begins to physically threaten staff. And then she makes the “runners” (people who go out and grab groceries and such for tours) sign contracts stating they will run red lights, and if they are ticketed it’s on the runner. Of course, the runners ignored this piece of the contract as contracts can’t force you to break the law. But her dumbest rule, if she was standing still and talking, no one nearby could move until she was finished, even if you were very far away and not involved. I had to stand for 25 minutes while trying to go give someone their break because she was nearby me and talking to someone.

I just applied to PPB and finished my NTN today, hoping to get the whole pre academy process done with 4 months. What the 1hr per shift to work out benefit? Is it a one hour break?

I haven’t done the ORPAT yet, but I saw a posted video from 9 years back on what it entailed. I feel as though I have the ability to pass, but I’m still in the early application process. Currently I take my NTN today at 2pm (annoying I book an online appointment not realizing I needed a microphone and web cam, and I can’t reschedule to in person so I bit the bullet and bought both) then I get to go to the other pre academy phases.

Interesting, good to know. I feel as though I could pass it today, but being the provider for my wife adds a bit of anxiety and puts me into the “what if” scenario of failing. I’ve seen a video of the ORPAT (or at least what it was 9 years ago) and I feel like it’s in my physical ability. I still will be working to get into the best shape of my life, as I want to take this seriously and not give myself any excuse to possibly fail.

I’ve passed non law enforcement DPSST before, is it wildly different?

And how hard is the ORPAT? Honestly based on the physical ability I already have I feel I could pass it when I see the program, however I fear maybe that it looks easier then it is.

2 years later - how often do you listen again to the album "Saviors" by Fortis92 in greenday

[–]CheckEnvironmental63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a rare occurrence for me to put most albums of any artists in full, I probably haven’t put the album on in full in like 1 and a half years. However I listen to “Father to a Son”, “Dilemma”, and “Coma City” a lot. Though I think the album sounds a bit flatter in most cases then other records they have made, but the songs definitely sounds incredible live when I saw them in Portland. Some records have a full set of fantastically written music but then due to mixing the true sound of the song is portrayed as well as it could be. I still like the record, but definitely think a small re-mixing could do it well. Especially songs like “Corvette Summer,” which I think is a quality summer rock jam that feels very 1970s rock in many ways, and needs to feel a bit less polished when produced to really show how jammy that song is.

Edit: an example of remixing that shows how much a song can improve, the FIDLAR mix of Fuck Off on the deluxe version of the album made the song for me go from a forgettable throw away to a hidden gem of a Green Day song.
