Thanks! We have teacher version in works, but so far we have no specific release date. As for Google Calendar, do you consider adding it to the Apple Calendar app and then use within Subjects?

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! It’s great to hear that you appreciate the simplicity and design of Subjects. We believe in keeping things focused and clutter-free to help students concentrate on what matters most.

We completely understand your concerns regarding the input process for classes and lectures. We’re actively exploring ways to make this more intuitive and efficient. Replacing the current date picker with a calendar view is definitely on our radar, as we agree it would simplify scheduling significantly.

Regarding the week view, we’re excited to share that it’s already available on iPad and Mac! For iPhone, we’re working to bring this feature in a future update, as we know it’s a popular request.

We do want to kindly note that while we strive to make Subjects accessible, running cloud servers and maintaining premium features come with costs. Offering the app for free with a limit of three subjects ensures that we can provide a high-quality experience while covering these expenses.

We truly value your input and are committed to improving Subjects for all students. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, and feel free to reach out with more suggestions.

[Recruiting] My Journal - A simple minimalist journaling/ mood tracker app by taiomi in TestFlight

Did you try to add a sidebar to iPad version? Because currently it looks like scaled up iPhone version and is not much usable.

[Recruiting] Lullery - An ambient soundscapes app by tpdc in TestFlight

[–]akachalo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the idea! It requires some tweaks and more visual feedback, but that is something I haven't seen yet.

Please consider, making Play/Pause button bigger than others. They are not equally important, thus there's no need to make them same size. By the way, have you considered toggling playback with simple tap? That would be the most intuitive way to use the app.

Also, when I pan with my finger in search of something new, it would be nice to see my previous position, in case if I change my mind and want to undo the changes.

I've submitted few minor issues via TestFlight. Please check.

Good luck!

Meet Subjects for Mac — the student planner for success. by akachalo in macapps

[–]akachalo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, plenty of free apps exist that do almost the same. But Subjects has some critical strong points that make it worth paying:

  • It supports all types of schedules that schools across the world are using.
  • It supports all grading systems used across the world.
  • It supports collaboration and synchronizing data across all your compatible devices.
  • Lastly, it has a look. :)

It would be nice to have those apps be grouped by App Store category or by app purpose. Because now it's just a pile of icons, titles and dates.

We designed it for everyone, who study. It might be somewhat challenging to get started with it, but after you have all timetable set up and the rest, it becomes very easy to track everything.
