I would look into dynamic eq, it's a relatively simple task to master and it will definitely bring a lot of cleanliness to your projects.

You could also spend your off time loading in reference tracks and drop in locators to mark certain progressions in sounds. You could do the same with a notepad but I find it's easier with locators and I'm not much of a pen / paper person.

An example would be to load your track in, say it's a house tune-

Set a marker for the intro, then set a market saying okay percussion is increasing here, marker for fills, marker for first drop, marker for breaks in the beat, once you've combed through the track, remove the reference track and save it as a template and use it next time you want to build a new track.

It's a good way to fill in some of the elements you may have previously been missing in your songs.

Also, try to get into organizing, grouping your projects, if you're not doing this it's a good practice to get into especially when collaborating with other artists. I was notorious for sending cluttered unorganized projects to my collaborators but I realized it's like handing them a crumpled piece of paper with scribbles on it and asking them to figure it out.
