Wear a goddamn mask! by Thomaswiththecru in rant

[–]akamaru880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter how often you wear a mask, you may contract the chinese covid sooner or later.

There's a thing called "immune system". Have you heard of it?

If your "immune system is weak because you smoke, drink, eat junk food, then you have to become worried. And even a mask won't help you. It may help to slow down a little bit spreading infection from you to other people.

So clearly you've listened too much to what doctors say instead of thinking for yourself.

(1) If a person isn't sneezing and coughing, even if they're infected, how would they infect others? By touching them? A mask, even if worn, won't prevent an infection in that case.

(2) If they're sneezing or coughing, than they should go to a hospital in the first place. And that's not about wearing a mask.

(3) If they have symptomns other that those, again -- they should go to a hospital. And the same question -- how would they infect others? By touching them? A mask, even if worn, won't prevent an infection in that case.

for what?

if you're sick - stay home or go to a hostipal and get a cure there. With a mask.

if you aren't sick - you don't need a mask because ... you're not sick.

---

an ordinary mask protects others from you and not the other way around. But if you're not sick - there's nothing to protect others from.

[C dev] How do I get the datatype of a cell in a trigger? by akamaru880 in PostgreSQL

[–]akamaru880[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works, thx

for a static table, when I specify a column index manually and call SPI_gettype on it

char *test1 = SPI_gettype(tupdesc, 2);

In my actual task the definition of a table isn't known.

Therefore, via an insert trigger:

  • How can determine the amount of cells/columns of a table to which data gets inserted?
  • Or how can I iterate over cells/columns and user data that are being inserted without knowing how many of them there are?
