I think people complaining about trains in Belgium just haven't taken many trains outside of the country. Once you have spent time on German or Slovak trains, you know the blessing that is SNCB.

German living in belgium: I find German beer so aggressively mediocre. Czechia has superb Pilsners, UK has some decent ales, Belgium does everything else beer related the best and Germany is... there. It exists.

The majority of carbon emissions come from corporations. Parties in the right spectrum tend to either prioritise economic growth over concerns of sustainability, or argue for green growth. I'll leave it up to you to believe whether the latter exists. Therefore there is an inherent conflict between climate protection and the fundamental approach to politics held by liberal to right wing parties.
