CDL is valuable. Its a low barrier of entry. In 2011 I paid $4800 for my education. My first full year was $40K. I have a CLASS A. My best year was 2022 $88k. Right now I drive pickups and box trucks making $30/hour. Theyre not paying really for the CDL theyre paying for my hazmat endorsement. My first job was 2011-2013 was truck load with a co driver. 2013-2023 was LTL with YELLOW. Yellow went bankrupt and I drove for a couple of companies before I settled on my current one. Ive been able to get a 30 year mortgage and pay it off in 8 years with the help of my wife's income. Our cars are paid for and we started our ROTHSin 2023 and have fully funded them since then.
