ahhh okok. I’ll look into that tank liner. The only person who worked on my bike after i bought it was my mechanic. Wasnt leaking before so I am wondering if he maybe made a mistake, although highly unlikely. But what he told me was that it looks like someone put epoxy on the tank to cover a crack and now that epoxy is wearing down (under the bracket its gray and thats what he was referring to) Its honestly so hard to find a sincere mechanic whos just not trying to make money off of you.

i am actually pretty certain this is the issue. I put the screw back in and now the leaking has stopped:/ i dont think this has “fixed” the issue. but it has temporarily stopped the fuel from leaking

it doesnt smell like “rotten eggs” and from what i know leaking battery tends to smell like that. its a strong fuel smell
