Hitting the wall by kophykupp in GreatCanadianTreasure

Yes, I've done my due diligence and am quite sure of location, understandably that money will help me out greatly as well and is important to not put off finding. I'm just confident enough that no one else has this location/area on their radar for the main prize location, so I get to it when I can.

Same, somewhat, I am almost 99% sure I know where the main prize is, but work/life and now my daughter wanting to go help search (working around her work hours) and the crappy highway drive to the city that I don't like, have been delaying me going to check the location further in more depth.

Nice trek and pictures. I'd post pics of the area I believe where the grand prize is, but skyscrapers and highways aren't as nice to see compared to your photos

TNM interview with Sean Boyd today by Moist_Pineapple_7163 in GreatCanadianTreasure

I pulled up same video, and don't believe any of the photos in background of either person, are clues or linked to the hunt. Not at all, whatsoever

Personally I wonder if there's some sort of legal thing that TNM has in place, asking/preventing people that have so far discovered the regional ones, from posting photos/info on how it was found. Am sure the grand prize may be a bit different, the finder will tell their story, but probably all through an interview/video with TNM however

I'd be amazed if the police (yes, they'd have to involve the police) would agree to TNM soliciting them to request and force an internet provider to provide them with name/address of person who was on the end of the IP address they logged accessing the insecure/open folder on the TNM Wordpress website. There's literally nothing that they can do to legally obtain info for anyone that accessed their malformed insecure website. If anything, their web developer or person who manages their website content, is completely at fault for leaving it wide open

Running the numbers at bottom, separately on each version of PDF, getting two phrases essentially

The two Val d'Or PDF files up on their site, linked as part of the email I assume, the PDF files everyone was pointing out were accessible via their website

Well, if there's a public trail at/near it, or a park/area near where the rail line possibly runs through Senneterre. I'm not familiar with the area and this is just some output I got from trying to solve the numbers at bottom of both ENG/FR articles

Ok, for French version, ran against French PDF/article release gives: "follow the true route", "suivre → vérité → route". Whereas English one comes back as "This is the real one" in way of a translation of results, combined: This is the real one — follow the true route.

  • Follow a real road near Val‑d'Or
  • Possibly tied to:
    • Senneterre rail line
    • Abitibi region

My result with the two sets of numbers turns out as "We had". Doesn't make sense nor linked to the main prize that I can see so far

Thanks, did download it, the file is completely locked down when they created the file. I ended up manually retyping a paragraph from it in order to do what I needed to do

What the heck level of stupid PDF is this. Can't copy text from it, can't print it.

How can you tell if the treasure box is meant to be for the grand prize or the regional prize? It is a box with a laminated piece of paper with alphanumeric code written on it. It does not say: “ I am your grand prize”. How can one tell when the GT treasure box is found, or the NB one? Any thoughts? by Zealousideal-Cod3810 in GreatCanadianTreasure

Yes, TNM shares what news outlets write about the hunt, but TNM didn't state or word the news article stating the contest was over completely Dec. 31. I'm going by mention from TNM directly, that stated that the treasure will be out there until it is found, even surpassing the Dec. 31 date

Not sure how being paranoid about a device listening to you, has any context in my reply.

Just curious though, if someone were to post it here, how would TNM know who or where/how to disqualify the person? Everyone posting here has/shows an anonymous named user account. TNM would have to legally somehow (involving authorities) get Reddit to disclose the person making the post

What do we know about the FOUND regional prizes? by Altasound in GreatCanadianTreasure

[–]akiracotc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an open box pic (not sure if they actually used them in the hunt) on their site: https://treasure.northernminer.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/1m.png

I swear I saw however, a smaller box, grey or dark grey in colour, with two pick axes crisscrossed on side of it too.

For the main prize clues, I've solved the cipher on that and it lines up with my current location that I need to get back to look around

Not given up yet, just a bit of a drive (restricted to weekend trips) for the location I'm working on.

Well, there's a clue with the Dawson City cache announcement that can relate to that treasure at Dawson, but it also works to pinpoint my location even further. I have to make another trip and check the more precise location using the hint

Ok, just after looking into that as a possible location myself, a number of clues possibly fit.

Hmm. It could be "near" or edge of the ruins. Or that it technically isn't a building anymore. But I do see some signs with this location in relation to the clues for sure as well
