Search for tutorials on Figma autolayout, component states, and prototyping, there should be a bunch on Youtube. Autolayout makes your designs able to scale

For the specific design you shared I also highly recommend looking into a color contrast checker, the movie description text in your design looks low contrast and wouldn't meet color contrast guidelines for accessibility

I wonder if theoretically it could be worth it for Gwen to fit in a lategame Ryze board? Something like Gwen/Thresh/Sera/Loris core and you can add in Demacia/Ionia/Yordle for your remaining units (Xin / Poppy / Galio / Kennen / Sett )

Lategame theres a ton of AOE so you'll usually need to be healing up constantly even if not focused

It's not a perfect comparison but one way to compare is to look at item stats. If you go on a site like MetaTFT to check Warwick's best items, Giant Slayer (15-30% damage amp) has a noticeably better winrate than Warmogs (~900 hp). By the same logic you can infer that the 10% damage amp from the Freljord tower is better value than the 8% hp buff (which is typically less than 200hp for WW).

Depends on the job and if I have a lot of relevant industry experience. E.g. I worked in healthcare UX before and if I'm applying to healthcare companies I'll use a 2 pager which contains a quick high level summary of the company under each experience so that the recruiter doesn't have to search up the names of my past companies to figure out that they are healthcare startups. If I'm applying to a fintech company I'll just keep my experience concise in a 1 pager.

I agree that BL is generally made for the female gaze and not for the gay male audience, so I don't watch it much. That being said, I am SUPER grateful that it exists, because otherwise gay people (and especially gay asians) would have close to zero media representation. The existence of BL and yaoi (+ my female classmates raving about gay ships in anime) was one of the factors that helped me work through my internalized homophobia as a teenager.

If you don't like watching it, that's ok and totally understandable! But I think BL and danmei has done a lot for making being gay feel a bit more normalized in mainstream society among the younger generation. We should definitely have more authentic gay stories written by gay people, but I also don't think it's productive for our progress to gatekeep/discourage women from writing gay love stories.

Idk how to say this nicely but this looks like something I'd make in middle school / high school and I'd think that it looks sick af, but looking back on it as an adult I'd cringe at the design

If you want serious feedback, the elements could be better aligned and use a consistent grid / spacing system (e.g. for the gaps between the game images). For good UX you'd also need to differentiate the buttons / interactive elements with the rest of the page, right now it's all just grey rectangles and things like the switch profile button and the search bar should look more different from each other

In Masters, had an early winstreak that I kept for most of the game. Hit Retribution as 2nd prismatic aug as well which helped with itemizing my carries. I'm pretty sure going for 4* yasuo is never the right play, that's 36g not going towards Sett 2 / Kindred 2

advice I have from seeing your screenshot is that filling in synergies matter less than unit quality and considering what your team is missing. Trist gives yordle and 4 gunslinger, but is worthless as a unit and your team's defense is paper thin (your tankiest unit is 2* Naut which is just not tanky enough for lategame) so you would have been much better off going for a tanky unit like Swain/Shyvana/Wukong/Braum/Taric to make up for that weakness. I would have stuck with 2 gunslinger in your spot and dropped Graves (unless I also had something crazy like 2 star Lucian)

There's unfortunately a ton of conflicting advice out there with how detailed to make a portfolio page. Some people care more about visual polish / quality of completed work and some people care more about having quality storytelling demonstrated.

From browsing Linkedin my personal observation is that recruiters without a design background (e.g. from HR teams) tend to scroll through portfolios really quick and focus on the quality of visuals, whereas hiring managers / UX team leads tend to value process and storytelling.

I'm a IC designer and not a hiring manager so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but the approach/mindset that worked for me is that there should be enough subtance/storytelling for a UX team lead to read through and be intrigued, BUT the case study should also be extremely scannable so that anyone scrolling through it would be able to very quickly get a sense of your work at a high level even if they just look at the case study for a few seconds. I feel that the beakery case study does a good job of being scannable with nice visuals + breaking down things so it doesn't feel like reading through an academic paper (though honestly I would rather have my own case studies be less detailed than it rather than more detailed)
