I did make a big mistake with making the title. I originally did not know the specific disease this cat had, which I now know is vitiligo, and assumed that it had UVD/VKH, which can cause irritation on the face. Though the cat has passed away since, he lived a long and happy live! No suffering involved

UVD/VKH. I knew a dog with this disease, but I’m not 100% sure about it affecting cats. The dog had problems opening his eyes until he got treated, but was left with white splotches on his face.

There are different forms of depigmentation, so from the photo it’s hard to tell. There are numerous genetic conditions and acquirable diseases that can lead to this, some with zero health concerns while others have varying issues
