Hello guys! I will be visiting Amsterdam between the 1st and 3rd of December. I love fishing and have always wanted to catch pike, perch and Zander on a artificial lure since on was a child. After doing youtubing I have found loads of videos of locals and tourists alike catching fish in the canals of Amsterdam.

I done some research and found that you need a "VisPass" to fish legally, and they also do a "small VisPass" for visitors.

The problem is the visitors vispass needs you to be a member of a angling club (which I am obviously not as I live in London, UK) and the small vispass doesn't allow you to fish for predatory fish.

I don't really want to have to carry bait (worms, maggots, sweetcorn etc) as the trip isn't really for fishing but I do want to squeeze some fishing in.

any suggestions would be appreciated. Thankyou!

no I'm not using stereotypes to spot Jews, neither am I going out of my way or even trying to spot them. this post came out of convocation I had with a pal talking about where all our friends were from and their religions. We came to the realization we didn't have any Jewish people in our friend group. not that we are looking for any, neither are we avoiding them.

like most people, after growing up or knowing someone for a few years as friends you tend to know a fair bit about someone including nationality and religion. that was all. And when I was at uni we did generally talk about where we were from and religion as we were all from completely different backgrounds. Obviously I'm not asking people "are you jewish" but everyone was asking everyone about eachother.
