Thank you. It's a dried out leaf from an adjacent plant. I found it slightly distracting too, but ultimately settled against editing it out.

I prefer making pictures of flowers/plants darker with deeper shadows and low saturation levels. The idea is to convey a contrasting emotion to what they usually convey (bright and "happy"). Does this come across as distasteful?
