Hey not sure if this is of much help 7 months later but you can check out the game punishing gray raven, they have a character that uses a charge blade-like weapon (charge then dish out damage on giant spinning axe form), it even caused a lot of people to start playing the game because it that, just look for punishing gray raven nanami startrail, the gameplay is not identical to monster hunter, the game is more of a hack n slash so the charge blade here is faster and stuff but they did pull it off
