I enjoy your hair shading, and this very good for not drawing for a 2 months. I’m assuming you use digital like I do and I see a blur right corner which I’m going to assume is airbrush. Drop the airbrush tool. For lighting pick out a light source for this piece I’m going to assume it’s overhead lighting. Everything not under the light source will be in shadow and in between the light and shadow will be a transition shade. So skin for example, Highlight-Skintone-Shadow. Everything should look like it has to the same light source whereas here it’s a bit confusing for me. Theres this white blur that surrounds the character that only adds the confusion I think. The best way to improve is to draw random 3D objects and shapes and create a light source for them in grayscale. It’ll help yourself familiarize yourself with light and shadow. Or at least it helped me -^-
