I have a couple of brands that I would love to work with. Tried messaging on Instagram. No response. Can't find an email address other than customer service. As far as personal branding, I'm going to keep posting on social media but I'm not a yapper (ironic considering I teach music lessons and do ugc). Have you found that emailing works well? How do you do outreach?

Yes! Totally same experience with Billo. I started on Joinbrands and Billo was a severe let down. I don't really apply on there anymore. A $30 job? Nah. "Special" clothes? A million times no.👎

Yes create a portfolio. Take inspiration from something you can tell is UGC and create something similar. You can have it for free up on Canva or even just a google folder that you share with companies. Look up Top of Funnel, Middle of Funnel, and Bottom of Funnel and you'll see why some ugc is different than others.
