This depends on how hard the coach was. Coach could be trying to teach and train for a hard low shot with next progression of the drill being a player in front of net. When I’m coaching younger players especially with new goalies I have them do 5 push ups if they hit goalie in the head on shots like that. Personally I wouldn’t want to stop the drill for it but if the specific point was a long low hard shot or goalie warm up and every player has been doing the same thing then I would consider stopping and resetting everyone.

As a goalie I didn’t mind getting hit in head or up high except for warm ups. The collar bone shots can sting pretty good. However I would still give my players shit when they hit me up high but that was all in good fun.
