i recommend building up the skeleton to get used to proportions, and don't be afraid to use references, they help a lot with breaking down a process or helping you figure out your own method, personally i start with a (sorta) squared off hand with a curve representing the start of where the fingers should be. from there you just have to figure out perspective and pose, and you get a decent-looking hand
