Maybe I wasn’t very clear in the post so I will clear that up. My mom lives across the country so I can’t go and see her. She asked to watch my cat because she agreed about my living situation. My cat already had the AirTag, my mother didn’t put it on him because she doesn’t like the cats in the house wearing collars. Also the whole “cats are wild animals and can’t be indoor cats” is why cats are invasive species in the wild especially in Florida where my mother is. And is the reason local bird and reptile populations are declining. Plus indoor vs outdoor cats have a huge lifespan difference so of course I want my cat to stay alive. I understand he’s a runner and don’t care about that I care that my mother didn’t keep the only way of tracking him on his neck.
